The Ladies’ Championship is played off scratch and consists of a 36 hole medal qualifyer followed by a matchplay semi  final and final the following day.

The 36 hole qualifyer resulted in some excellent scores, which were certainly helped by the magnificent condition of the course.

The qualifying scores were:

Chloe Rowswell  71 + 79 = 150

Sue Hosking 82 + 81 = 163

Sally Benton  83 + 81 = 164

Ann Lockhart 85 + 83 = 168

The semi finals, played in the morning, resulted in a very tight match between Sue Hosking and Sally Benton, in which Sue in the end triumpht. The other semi final between Ann Lockhart and Chloe Rowswell  was more one sided, reflecting the clear difference in handicap of the two players.

After 72 holes of excellent golf Chloe Rowswell won the championship in an exciting final against Sue Hosking. Chloe’s eagle on the 3rd and a birdie on the 5th made it very difficult for Sue to keep up with the powerful golf her opponent displayed.

Chloe adds the title of Eaton Ladies Champion 2016 to her title of Norfolk Girls Champion 2016, which she won earlier in the year
